So who wants to find the best Canadian car you can get for $5k?

I do! Criteria: manual, less than 250k kms and must be in Canadian funds. Bonus jalop internet's if it's: RWD, in good condition or makes a boatload of power!

I nominate : !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (wtf did they take the pictures with?)

$2500, 156K kms - Needs a water pump and some work, but plenty of budget left for that.

I thought they only had dog sleds in Canada.

Sounds good to me :), it is the Great Canadian Car Search (despite the fact that I reside in good ol' Ontario).

We've imported sleds with wheels now, it's pretty sweet, I think that call them carghs or something.

Here's my vote!

Kinja'd!!!

Yes, laddies and genitaliamen, it's a 1990 Ford Thunderbird SuperCoupe! Supercharged, intercooled, and dressed up with some goodies, this car has everything except the manual transmission. Here's the good news; even if you pay what he's asking - there's enough left over to do a proper manual swap.

Kinja'd!!!

Yes, boners and wet-spots, that's a 3.8L Essex derived, supercharged and intercooled V6 from Ford.

And look at this interior...

Kinja'd!!!

... yes, that's right; you too can live out the best of the 80's from the early 90's!

Act now!

(I deserve extra points for keeping it extra local... I could go look at this car today, but I won't because I have a sickness.)

That Jeep is sweet! Good call. I've always had a soft spot for the Comanche.

I'd comment on the bike, but I lack the proficiency to drive one and thus know nothing about them lol.

I'm sorry. This is not $5000. But it has to be shared (again).

I had waited for a Ford Courier to appear in the classifieds for way to long, the Comanche have recently take it place in my long list of "maybe, eventually".

The CB400F is on that list too for quite a while now; a small, high revving, 6 speed bike with an absolutely perfect look straight from the factory. That could make a nice 30 years old anniversary treat next fall...

How about a manual, turbocharged Ford coupé?

As a Mustang enthusiast, part of me wants to automatically agree.

But, as a Mustang fan I also know that a Turbo 2.3 isn't that hard to come by and while the manual option is desirable, a swap from an automatic isn't that expensive with the budget assigned.

I'd still take the Thunderbird SC... also because it's not Frenched.

You mean the bilingual "closer than they appear" sticker in the right mirror? I know, scary stuff.
